First of all, because we are such a new and still relatively small group, we need members who can bring both enthusiasm and ideas. We are still working out the main priorities for our Friends Group to tackle and so if you think you’d like a say get in touch and we’ll be more than happy to tell you about our next meeting.

Raising Funds

Nearly every project we choose to take on will require money to do so. In order to raise money we can apply for funding from local trusts, councillors, the Lottery and other grant making bodies. We could also attempt at raising it ourselves through raffles, sponsored walks and other fundraising events. If you think you could help out, use our Contact Us page to get in touch.

Getting Dirty

The most obvious way to join in with Perry Parks Friends Group is by getting involved with the practical projects we take on—such as tree planting, habitat creation, and general gardening tasks. You don’t need to be super fit or even have green fingers; it’s all about working together and having fun as well as making our park beautiful again!

We need a bit of all of the above but by no means single out one thing if you thing you’d be good at all of it. In particular we’d like everyone in our group to get involved in meetings and put forward any ideas for the Friends Group and for its projects.
